Q: How do I become a member of SASAA?
A: Any alumni, graduate or not, of Stuttgart American High School, Ludwigsburg American High School, Patch American High School, or Stuttgart High School can become a member of SASAA by selecting the "Sign Up" button on our homepage, or by visiting our "Become A Member" page and completing the membership process. Q: How are reunion locations determined?
A: Reunion locations are selected on a regional rotation around the country. Once a region is selected, the Board of Directors select cities and begin the process of soliciting "host" and volunteer groups to host the reunion in cities within the region. For example: Cities within the Mid-Atlantic Region are Washington, DC; Richmond, Va.; Virginia Beach, Va.; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; etc. The selected cities are voted on by SASAA Members. From this group of cities, the Reunion Committee Chair will solicit individuals in the cities to host the reunion. This process also helps to grow friendship and networks. *Locations outside of the continental U.S. require a special vote.
Q: What social media platforms does SASAA use?
A: SASAA can be followed all over the internet and on several social medial platforms to include; our website; Facebook - search "Stuttgart American Schools Alumni Association"; Twitter - StuttgartASAA; Instagram - sasa_association *SASAA looks to have a YouTube page in the future as well.
Q: How long do SASAA officers serve?
A: SASAA officers serve for a three year period; typically, reunion to reunion. However, special circumstances may call for an officer to remain in position for an extended period of time. This requires a special vote by SASAA Board of Directors.
Q: Are there any local meetups in my area?
A: SASAA is working to develop a network of regional SASAA representatives that will "host" meetup events in their city or regionally twice a year. Visit the the Reunions page for more.
Q: I've seen t-shirts, hats and other memorabilia worn by alumni; How can I purchase this stuff?
A: SASAA merchandise will be made available for purchase via the website "Shop" (Stable) twice a year; June and December. (SASAA Stable is currently under construction).

Q: How can I play a role in the future growth of SASAA?
A: SASAA is always looking for alumni interested helping us grow as well as participating in our activities. We are routinely seeking volunteers for the reunion committee, regional or local meetups, membership committee, scholarship committee, etc. If you are interested in helping SASAA, please contact Reunion Committee or Membership Committee
Q: Can I become a SASAA member if I didn't graduate from a Stuttgart area school?
A: Anyone who attended a Stuttgart area school can become a member of SASAA, whether you graduated there or not.
Q: Why is the SASAA Scholarship for JROTC students only?
A: Being military Brats, it made all the right sense to give back to not only our school, but those individuals seeking a future in the military. This scholarship helps SHS students.
Q: Who is eligible to vote for SASAA Officers?
A: Only Members of SASAA can vote for Officers; President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. *Past President is the only non-elected seat as it is automatically filled by the previous administration President.
Q: How can I get a copy of the yearbook from my class or school years?
A: At this time, there is no way to obtain copies of old yearbooks through reproduction. However most, if not all, yearbooks from 1954-1992 can be viewed on the American Overseas Schools Historical Society (AOSHS) website located at https://AOSHS.org/
